The project aims at: 1. development of methods for processing borehole seismic data (migration, inversion and processing), 2. experiments with bit noise measurements as inverse VSP; 3. processing and interpretation of MSP and at KTB. The elastic wave field is inverted within a scattering theory using Radon transformation. With appropriate configuration of sources and sensors which always include borehole data, the inversion of P-SV data is able to recognize steeply dipping faults; these cannot be resolved within an acoustic approximation.
