Modellierung des Transportes, der Vermischung und der Deposition von Luftbeimengungen ueber inhomogenem Gelaende unter Beruecksichtigung chemischer Reaktionen Abschlussbericht

The aim of the investigation is to upgrade the knowledge of the mesoscale processes, that are relevant for the distribution of air pollutants. Model simulations were carried out for 16 September 1992 in an area that envolves the south-western part of Germany, a part of Alsace and the northern part of Switzerland. The used models are the atmospheric mesoscale model KAMM and the dispersion model DRAIS including the chemical code of the RADM2 model. In this topographic inhomogeneous area wind systems like slope winds, valley winds and sea breezes influence the distribution of the pollutants. Different examples show the influence of the topography on wind systems as well as the influence on wind systems and the resulting distribution of air pollutants. In Oberkirch a valley wind system is pronounced very well. At Lake Constance the superposition of slopewinds and the sea breeze causes the formation of an ozone maximum above the lake.
