Stoffliche Belastung, Klassifikation und geooekosystemare Bedeutung subhydrischer Boeden. T. 2 Schwermetalle, Phosphor, Stickstoff, Sedimentbewertung, Zusammenfassung

Present knowledge about aquatic sediments and their contamination is summarized in a literature review. For geoecosystematic purposes, the classification schemes elaborated in the literature are in the initial stages, showing deficits with respect to sedimentary structure and the relevant fixation and release processes of heavy metals and toxic organic compounds. The factors regulating the release of phosphorus and nitrogen compounds out of the pore water and at the top layer of the sediments are illustrated with regard to the processes at the sediment/water interface. The role of microbial releases and the hydrodynamic and diagenetic influences on these processes are still not fully understood. In comparison with subaerial soils, techniques for measuring relevant soil physical and hydrodynamic parameters are less well developed. The valuation criteria of sediment contamination, their applicability to other contamination sites, and the comparability of results are still limited. Each chapter closes with an overview of open questions. (orig.)In einer Literaturstudie wird der Kenntnisstand ueber subhydrische Boeden vorgestellt. Ihre Klassifikation ist erst in Ansaetzen fuer geosystemare Betrachtungen verwendbar. Defizite bestehen in der Kenntnis des Sedimentgefueges, der wesentlichen Fixierungs- und Freisetzungsprozesse von Schwermetallen und toxischen, organischen Kontaminanten. Die Steuerfaktoren fuer die Freisetzung von Phosphor und Stickstoffverbindungen aus dem Interstitialwasser und von der Sedimentoberflaeche werden hinsichtlich der Sediment/Wassergrenze dargestellt. Kenntnisluecken bestehen im Verstaendnis der mikrobiellen Freisetzung der hydrodynamischen Einfluesse und der diagenetischen Dynamik. Fuer wichtige bodenphysikalische-hydrologische Parameter bestehen noch keine mit subaerischen Boeden vergleichbaren Messmethoden. Kontaminationsbewertungen, die flaechenhaft repraesentativen Uebertragungen und die Vergleichbarkeit sind noch eingeschraenkt. Kapitelweise werden offene Fragen formuliert.
