In co-operation with the ad-hoc-group 'Heavy metal transfer soil/plant' of the study group 'Soil protection' the transfer behaviour of heavy metals from soil to well-chosen food plants and forage plants was analysed under the aspects of phytotoxicity, food plant quality and forage plant quality based on the data of the data bank TRANSFER. Aim of this work was the derivation of a soil standard value concept including different threshold values by the ad-hoc-group who developed on this basis a concept for hazard assessment concerning adverse effects of soil contaminations to plants.
