This is the 1995 scientific report of the GBF. Research was done in the following fields: Gene function and genoma analysis; Infections and immunity; Agents; Molecular targets; Environmental biotechnology; Integrated bioprocess development; Development of GMP-compatible biotechnological production techniques. Each subject field was divided up into several projects, which were largely carried out in interdisciplinary cooperation. Die Darstellung der wissenschaftlichen Ergebnisse ist nach den folgenden Forschungsschwerpunkten gegliedert: Genfunktion und Genomananlyse; Infektion und Immunitaet; Wirkstoffe; molekulare Targets; Umweltbiotechnologie; integrierte Bioprozessentwicklung; Entwicklung GMP-gerechter biotechnologischer Herstellungsverfahren, die wiederum in Projekte aufgeteilt sind.
