Modellhafte Sanierung VARTA-Sued Schlussbericht

The project concerns the sanitation of the banks of the brook 'Rossbruchgraben' which crosses the fallow land Varta-Sued/Hannover. The banks are strongly contaminated by lead and antimony and partially by cadmium. Soil sanitation has to be carried out without interruption of the water effluent. As the soil treatment technology a multi-step washing process is proposed which includes a chemical extraction by diluted aqueous HCl. For rapid process analyses the x-ray fluorescence method is proposed. The presented sanitation conception and planning allows a future realization of the project.
