Pro potřebu hydrologické prognózy na horských a podhorských tocích je důležitá znalost distribuce vodní hodnoty sněhu v daném povodí. Předložená diplomová práce se proto zabývá srovnáním 9 interpolačních metod z hlediska kvality jejich předpovědi při predikci výšky a vodní hodnoty sněhu v povodí Bystřice (127,6 km2 ) ležícím na SZ Čech v Krušných horách. Bodová data výšky a vodní hodnoty sněhu využitá při interpolacích byla získána během terénního měření 17. 2. 2010 na 14 sněhoměrných profilech.
