Deviant Life and Morality in Bohemian Rhapsody Movie (Reader Response Theory)

This research discuss the deviant life and morality in Bohemian Rhapsody movie and aims to describe the deviant life in Bohemian Rhapsody and to know the lesson and moral message in the movie. This research applied the morality deviation theory by Merton and reader response theory by Rosenblatt. This research was conducted to show the deviant life portrayed in Bohemian Rhapsody and the lessons or moral message in the movie. The finding show that there are two classifications of morality deviation in Bohemian Rhapsody movie. They are morality deviation without process, then it also show the moral massage obtained by audiences in the Boheimian Rhapsody movie. The writer concludes that the deviant life can be influenced by several factors, especially environmental and social factors, and get a variety of different perspective about deviant life from several audiences
