International audienceThis paper investigates the work of the Magnum Photos agency members in Israel and Palestine from the proclamation of the Hebrew state in 1948 to the 2014 military operations. Their pictures accompanied the evolution of media narratives: the first icons reflecting the Zionist founding stories were replaced by more critical views bearing witness to the Palestinian cause.
