In recent years, the US has urged the yuan to appreciate in order to resolve its trade deficit with China. This article systematically analyzes the basic situation of the RMB exchange rate changes and the development of Sino-US import and export trade in the past 20 years, and uses Eviews to construct a measurement model to confirm that the impact of the RMB exchange rate on Sino-US trade is not as good as the economic development of the importing country The impact is significant, and the intention of the United States to improve the trade deficit by prompting the appreciation of the renminbi is ineffective.
