This policy brief provides information on the benefits and processes of Girl Group activism, including how to start a Girl Group. By co-constructing and producing knowledge on the lived experiences of the participants, Girl Groups can be vehicles for meaningful change. Girl Groups address important issues and topics, including sexual violence, which are not always discussed openly. Girl Groups recognize that the participants of the groups are the experts of their own lives. In several country contexts such as Canada and South Africa, Girl Groups have been created specifically for and by Indigenous youth.Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC
