Retention of youth players in Czech football

Title: Retention of youth players in Czech football Objectives: The main objective of the research of this bachelor thesis was, with the help of electronic survey, trying to find the main reasons, why male children and youth from 13 to 18 years old dropout before they reach the adult level of playing organized football. Methods: A quantitative method of electronic survey was used. The questionnaire was shared via social network (Facebook) and the comment section on the webpage eurofotbal.cz. Furthermore, the questionnaire was directly sent to former footballers. Results: The most important reason, why children and young people dropout of playing football, was interest in other things and activities. This thesis did not investigate this reason to more detail. The least important reason was insufficient money for free contributions to the clubs. In general, structural reasons turned out to be unimportant.
