Circumstances affecting the termination of teenager sports training

This bachelor's thesis mainly deals with the circumstances and reasons causing the termination of pre-adolescent sports training. In the theoretical part of the thesis, several topics are mentioned and explained, which are closely related to the given issue. Specifically, the theoretical part discusses youth and their age periods, general sports training, pre-adolescent sports training, motivation, free time and ending sports training. The practical part of the work is based on quantitative research, specifically on anonymous questionnaire survey, in which a total of 103 former athletes between the ages of 18-25, who finished their sports training between the ages of 13-18, were involved. To reach the answers i choosed the so-called snowball technique. The questionnaire survey reveals the answers to the questions whether parents play any role in the termination of sports training, whether early specialization is related to termination, or whether the social capital of the family is related to the peristence of pre-adolescent in sports. The main goal of the bachelor's thesis was to find out the circumstances and reasons for youth leaving organized sports.
