On September 15, 2017, with the issuance of Resolution 1912, the last list of wild species that are threatened at continental and marine levels in the national territory was established. This administrative act categorized different faunal and floristic groups into the Critical Hazard (CR), Endangered (EN) and Vulnerable (VU) categories based, as indicated in that document, on the criteria, sub-criteria and thresholds proposed by IUCN .
