This article gives analysis of the achievements of linguist of the Belarusian language during the XX century, defines the most pro- spective trends of studying the Belarusian language in the nearest future. Special attention is paid by Belarusian linguists to more perspective directions in the field of history of the contemporary Belarusian language. = Рассматриваются работы лингвистов БГУ, посвященные белорусскому языку, опубликованные со времени открытия университета.
