ウコンの栽培技術を検討する一環として, 遮光処理がウコンの生育・収量に及ぼす影響について調べた。1) 自然光に対する受光量が100∿57%の条件では, 遮光度が増加するにつれ草丈及び主茎生葉数は増加し, 分げつ数は減少した。2) 地上部乾物重, 根茎乾物重および根乾物重は, いずれも遮光によって著しく増加した。自然光に対する受光量が78∿57%の条件では, 遮光の強弱による差は認められなかった。3) 遮光によって根茎乾物率は増加し, 根茎への同化産物の蓄積が促進されたものと思われた。4) 以上のように, 遮光による生育の促進, 根茎収量の増加が認められたことから, ウコンの栽培に被陰は有効であると考えられた。Effects of shading on the growth characteristics and yield of Turmeric were investigated in the experiment.
