On the other hand, there is no grammatical category of voice in Chinese, where the passive is expressed only by means of functional words and word order. This difference causes a great difficulty to Chinese learners of Japanese. It is an important subject in the Japanese teaching and translation to carry out research on the proper use of the Japanese passive voice.
