The University will answer any questions which the Labor Bureau and Ministry of Education may have. Exit Visa: For an exit visa, a special form (available at the Public Relations Office) must be filled out one week before date of departure. No photographs are needed. The validity of the exit visa is for two weeks beginning with the date of issue, registered on the passport. Should the person fail to leave the country during this period, an extension of one week is granted, after an application on a stipulated form is made. Should the person then fail to leave the country, the procedure is repeated as for a new exit visa, Re-entry Visa: For a re -entry visa, an application is made (through the Public Relations Office) on a special form. These visas are issued for a period of between one ■ -'nth to six months upon the request of the applicant, on condition that his residence^visa in Egypt is valid_for at least ,two_ weeks more than the~expiration cat e^ of_ his_ re-entry visa^ and_ that the_ applicant1 s_ passport duration is satisfactory* Registration_with__Of.fice of Control of Foreigners; It is very important that all non-Egyptian newcomers should register with the Office of Control of Foreigners within three days of their arrival in Egypt, as indicated through a special stamp placed in their passport's by the~Tort Authorities. The applicant must fill out three cards, available at the Public Relations office, and that office will complete the registration. This procedure is followed every time a foreigner returns to this country. All house guests should also be registered with the same office, upon their arrival, and their departure should be reported in the same manner. In such cases the Public Relations Office will assist the hosts to clear such cases, Final_Departure Certificate; Those leaving the country finally should prepare a carefully itemized list, in duplicate, of their belongings (all personal goods to be taken out of the country). After signing this document, the applicant presents it to the Public Relations Office at least one month before date of departure, accompanied by a letter from the Consulate of the applicant, "indicating that he is leaving the country without intention of returning. Expenses Involved: The University, through the office of the Comptroller, takes cape of passport issuance and renewal fees, of entry, exit, re-entry and residence visa fees when staff member is on University business, and of fees for identification cards, installation papers and the like, for all full-time non-Egyptian members of the professional staff.
