The launching °f a program that would make the fullest possible use of this expensive equipraait on a self-maintaining basis is certainly not beyond the realm of possibility. Contributions from Egyptians must be forthcoming if we are to continue to se-3ure gifts from interested Americans. "How much do the Egyptians contribute to the work the American University" is the question constantly asked. When American philanthropists are having such difficult times surely the Egyptians should help to support 8 work vfoich is for them. Nothing could be done that would help the President more in securing gifts in America than to point to the contributions made by Egyptians. In Addition to the wealthy Egyptian, every alumnus should be contributing annually to an umni maintenance find.
