Hilal in Cairo had expressed interest, but perhaps needed to receive more information and encouragement in order to join. Mr. Crary asked if AUC knew of any other foundations which would contribute to bricks and mortar projects, referring to the dormitory, and Mrs. Desforges mentioned that the only one she was actively aware of was the Olin Foundation which requires that the donee organization name the building after the founder, John Olin. Mr. Hyde mentioned that Mr. McCloy knows people at the Olin Company. 8. Dr. Pelowski reviewed the progress report to date, stating that new gifts total approximately $700,000, and that we have about 3 months to raise the remaining $325,000. 9. The final item was other planned funding needs, and Dr. Pelowski reviewed the list. Mrs. Desforges offered to re-commence her regular reports to the Board to include this and other development information, and the committee agreed that this would be helpful. Dr. Pedersen concluded the meeting with a mention of AUB's recently launched campaign to raise $36 million and stated that it would be an energetic fund-drive.
