The Board voted unanimously to elect Dr. Mrs. Lloyd, the Chairman of the Trustee Affairs Committee, said that, in addition to her own, the terms of office of the following Trustees came to an end this year: Mr. Thorne, Mr. Newsom, Mr. Pendleton and Mr. Rentz. It was her intention, after long and careful thought, to submit her resignation at the end of her term. She suggested that Mr. Thorne, Mr. Newsom and Mr. Pendleton be invited to continue as Trustees. Mr. Rentz was now so geographically removed that he faced major difficulties in attending meetings. She suggested that perhaps his views should be sought on the question of continuing to serve as a Trustee. She noted, however, that since the next meeting would actually be considered the Annual Meeting the question of resignations or re-elections could properly be taken up at that time. Mr. Barco said that he, and he felt sure other Trustees would take the same position, was prepared to make every effort to persuade Mrs. Lloyd to continue serving as a Trustee. However, he would take up this question in the interim before the next meeting. It was then agreed that Mr. Payne should follow up with Mr. Kelly Simpson with the objective of inviting him to join the Board of Trustees
