On motion, duly made and seconded, the followIng resolutIon was unanimously adopted: RESOLVED THAT the Board of Trustees of The American UniversIty in Cairo hereby approves the proposed purchase of the approxImate 9500 square meters of the Greek School property In CaIro, wIth build­Ings thereon for l.E. 437,000 (that Is, L.E. 409,500 plus the U.A.R. transfer tax) as approved by thIs Board at its meeting on July 16, 1964 but subject, however, to the following pravl s Ions: 1. THAT the several contracts between the UnIversity and the UnIted States Government heretofore sIgned providIng funds for the constructIon of new buIldIngs of the UnIversity In Cairo, be amended to allow the commitment of these funds for the purchase of the above~entloned Greek School property In CaIro; and 2. THAT thIs Board of Trustees, on behalf of the UniversIty, hereby accepts responsIbIlity for the ffnanc'ng of the re­mainIng balance. The President reported that he understood a general resolutIon would be necessary authorIzing him to purchase and sell property In CaIro on behalf of the UniversIty, whIch resolution would facIlitate the purchase of the Greek property. It was the concensus of the meeting that should Dr. Bartlett desire to purchase property additional to the Greek property or to sell property on behalf of the UnIversIty the matter would b
