The report of the Finance Committee was accepted and ordered placed in the Minutes. 873 NEW PROGRAM Dr. McLain reported briefly on the following (see attached DEVELOPMENTS papers as referred to in the Agenda) : (a) Junior Year in Egypt (beginning of this has been postponed to 1958-59 (b) Developments in graduate program (c) Library building plans (d) Building and grounds, report on improvements (e) Recent laws in Egypt (f) Consideration of Seminar on the Middle East (g) Action in granting of degrees: Summer 1956, June and Summer 1957 (see Minute #874) (h) Tuition exchange program activated Under (f) above Seminar on the Middle East - the nature of the Seminar was discussed: Dr. Cleland stated that follow-ing the Presidents speech at Baylor University, two com-mittees of the government are following through on this matter: he suggested collaboration with these committees and with Drs. Cuyler Young and Schuyler Wallace.
