"This picture illustrates the method of netting. Once a shoal of salmon is spotted a small jet is launched from the beach to shoot the net around the fish. One end of the net remains tied to the tractor on the left. The other, when the boats circuit is completed, is made fast to the tractor on the right. Each tractor then slowy laid out on the sand. Eventualy the fish are contained in a small area of the net on the beach where it is possible to remove them straight onto the conveyor belt into a waiting truck."--Notes from artist
