Peculiarities of emotional personality sphere development at teenagers with atypical appearance

The article deals with the influence of teenager’s atypical appearance formed as a result of congenital harelip and cleft palate with following multi-stage medical and surgical correction on their self-appraisal, on their relations with adults and persons of their own age group, on a disbalance in their emotions and cognitions development. It has been proved that even timely and well carried out surgical treatment is not sufficient for normal personal development.
