This is the fifth in a series of reports on Manpower Planning Models. The emphasis in this report is on optimization in both short and long term planning. Models discussed in earlier reports form the basis of the optimization models. A detailed illustrative example is included to demonstrate how the models may be applied to policy determination for a university faculty.
