Jėzus Kristus apokrifinėse evangelijose: ortodoksija ir erezija ankstyvojoje krikščionybėje

Several apocryphal gospels have recently been made available by new archaeological discoveries. These texts had hitherto only been known from references to them by the Church fathers, who identified them with different groups of heretics. The non-canonical sayings and fragments of unknown gospel texts; the gospels according to Thomas, Mary Magdalene, Philip and Peter; and the infancy and Judeo-Christian gospels explored in this dissertation reveal various approaches to Jesus’ person and teaching, which are often different from the orthodox approach found in the canonnical gospels. Since W. Bauer’s treatise on the subject of orthodoxy and heresy in the earliest years of Christianity, the apocryphal gospels have been viewed in light of his thesis. According to W. Bauer, early Christianity was not homogeneous, but rather a plurality of different trajectories and different interpretations of Jesus Christ’s person and teaching, expressed in a number of the gospels. The recent quest for the historical Jesus uses the apocryphal gospels as a source and depicts Jesus Christ as a travelling philosopher, social reformer, charismatic healer, liberal rabbi, or apocalyptic prophet. Reconstruction based on apocryphal gospels rejects many of the essential elements of the Christian faith, but such a portrayal is acceptable for the post- modern pluralistic context, which accepts a diversity of approaches and puts emphasis on the importance of personal experience. The research performed for this dissertation concludes that the apocryphal gospels are not only valuable for the study of the historical Jesus and for the study of early Christianity. They are also part of a general Christian heritage, in which capacity they shed light on the theological development of the first centuries and raise new issues in Christology.Nauji archeologiniai atradimai padarė prieinamas apokrifines evangelijas, žinotas tik Bažnyčios tėvų, kurie jas tapatino su skirtingomis eretikų grupėmis. Disertacijoje nagrinėtose nekanoninėse ištarmėse, nežinomų evangelijų fragmentuose, Tomo, Marijos Magdalietės, Pilypo, Petro, judeokrikščionių bei vaikystės evangelijose aptiktas įvairialypis Jėzaus Kristaus asmens ir mokymo paveikslas, skirtingas nuo ortodoksinio požiūrio, pagrįsto kanoninėmis evangelijomis. Nuo W. Bauerio veikalo apie ortodoksiją ir ereziją ankstyviausioje krikščionybėje pasirodymo apokrifines evangelijas linkstama vertinti remiantis prielaida, jog ankstyvoji krikščionybė nebuvo vienalytė, o nuo pat pradžių egzistavo skirtingos krikščionybės trajektorijos ir skirtingos Jėzaus Kristaus asmens ir mokymo sampratos, išreikštos daugelyje evangelijų. Naujausiuose tyrinėjimuose remiamasi apokrifinių evangelijų liudijimu, o Jėzus Kristus vaizduojamas keliaujančiu filosofu, socialiniu reformuotoju, charizminiu gydytoju, liberaliu rabinu, apokaliptiniu pranašu. Apokrifinėmis evangelijomis grįsta rekonstrukcija atmeta daugelį esminių krikščioniškojo tikėjimo elementų, bet toks vaizdavimas patrauklus postmodernaus pliuralizmo pasaulyje, pripažįstančiame požiūrių įvairovę ir pabrėžiančiame asmeninės patirties svarbą. Tyrimo metu padaryta išvada, kad apokrifinių evangelijų tyrimai vertingi ne tik istorinio Jėzaus iš Nazareto ar ankstyvosios krikščionybės tyrinėjimuose. Apokrifinės evangelijos yra bendro krikščioniškojo paveldo dalis, liudijanti pirmųjų amžių teologijos raidą ir kelianti reikšmingus kristologinius klausimus.Vytauto Didžiojo universiteta
