Hyperspectral Imaging Possibilities of the Assessment of Tree Characteristics

Nuotoliniai tyrimai per pastarąjį šimtmetį tapo svarbūs gauti informaciją apie miškus, medynus, medžius, jų charakteristikas ir pastarųjų kaitą. Nuotolinių tyrimų taikymų miškininkystėje siekis – surinkti duomenis greičiau ir pigiau nei antžeminiais metodais, nustatyti tai, kas plika akimi nematoma. Nuotoliniai tyrimai grindžiami e-lektromagnetinės spinduliuotės, kuri patiria įvairias transformacijas sąveikaudama su mus dominančiais objektais, fiksavimu ir analize. Savo ruožtu augalija pasižymi ne-vienodomis spektrinėmis savybėmis, t. y. skirtingai atspindi, sugeria ir išspinduliuoja elektromagnetinę spinduliuotę (Vaiphasa et al., 2005; Clark et al., 2005; Manevski et al., 2011; Masaitis ir Mozgeris, 2012; Ghiyamat et al., 2013). Šie subtilūs spektrinių savybių skirtumai gali būti fiksuojami naudojant jutiklių sistemas, montuojamas įvai-riausios konstrukcijos platformose, tarp jų ir įtaisytose Žemės atmosferoje ar virš jos skriejančiuose aparatuose.The aim of remote sensing applications in forestry has always been to gather da-ta faster and cheaper than ground-based methods and to identify what’s invisible to the naked eye. In order to evaluate the properties of the objects of interest in more detail, in recent decades a new branch of remote sensing - hyperspectral scanning has emerged. The rapid development of hyperspectral sensors and the emergence of spe-cialized algorithms for the development of hyperspectral imaging are considered to be one of the most significant breakthroughs that have recently taken place in the area of remote sensing.
