Technological development very often requires new terminology to name new concepts that appear in language. Therefore, terminology as a discipline describes the methods used in term formation as well as recommendations for naming the concepts. Terminology is considered to be a separate discipline by some scholars, but others also claim that it is only a set of methodologies used for the analysis of subject field specific vocabulary.
