Brazil is the fourth largest pork producer in the world, with a growing international insertion, earning more than US $ 1 billion per year, reaching 3% of production and 11% of world exports. With the increase in swine production, we also have an increase in the production of swine wastewater (ARS), which, when handled poorly, may contain a high potential for environmental pollution.
