Ombyggnation av Rotskärsskolan : Förslag till ändring av hus F

Rotskärsskolan is located in Skutskär, Älvkarleby municipality and the school conducted today consists of lower secondary. The school was built in the early 1960s and contains three buildings. Today there is a great need for reconstruction of Rotskärsskolan, when the premises are worn out and not suitable for today's education. It must therefore be a phased change involving all the school buildings, starting in the winter of 2008/2009. Our degree project involves one of these buildings, called house F. This building will, by a recent decision, be adjusted for classes from preschool up to grade five, special school and leisure activities when some of the municipality's schools will consolidate. The purpose of this work is to present a proposal of a change for this building. The proposal will include a layout and design of facades, created on the basis of the users’ wishes as well as the social requirements and regulations. Some of the laws and regulations relating to a change in the building which was incorporated in the work process were the BVL, BVF, BÄR and BBR. In order to demarcate us some, we have chosen to only focus on the technical requirements relating to accessibility for people with impaired movement and orientation, safety in the event of a fire and safety in use. Inspiration and the lessons were taken by a literature review concerning school buildings and its premises. A pre-study of the building's conditions and the users’ wishes and requirements, were carried out during the programme stage. By using this information the results were reported in forms of flowcharts and a local programme. The next stage in the process, the layout design, the proposal is presented in form of hand sketches and drawings in AutoCAD. An extension was required in order to create spaces for the various activities in the building. To create a safer school yard for the younger students the extension was placed on the west side of house F. The entrances were developed to show more clearly where they are located as well as provide a more welcoming impression. In order to achieve the goal of creating pleasant and functional facilities, the layout was designed with a greater openness and more common surfaces such as study rooms and meeting points for the students.Rotskärsskolan är belägen i Skutskär, Älvkarleby kommun och den skolverksamhet som bedrivs idag består av högstadium. Skolan byggdes i början av 1960-talet och utgörs av tre huskroppar. Det finns idag ett stort behov av ombyggnation av Rotskärsskolan, då lokalerna är slitna och inte lämpade för dagens undervisningsform. Det skall därför ske en etappvis ändring som omfattar alla skolans byggnader, med start under vintern 2008/2009. Detta arbete omfattar en utav dessa byggnader, hus F. Denna byggnad skall, genom ett nytaget beslut, anpassas för förskoleklass till årskurs fem, särskolans klasser och en fritidsverksamhet då några av kommunens skolor slås samman. Syftet med detta arbete är att redogöra för ett förslag på ändring av denna byggnad. Förslaget skall innehålla en utformning av planlösning och fasader, skapade utifrån beställarens och brukarens önskemål samt samhällets krav och bestämmelser. Några av de lagar och föreskrifter angående en ändring av byggnad som beaktades under arbetets gång var BVL, BVF, BÄR och BBR. För att avgränsa oss något har vi endast valt att inrikta oss på de tekniska egenskapskraven som rör tillgänglighet för personer med nedsatt rörelse- och orienteringsförmåga, säkerhet i händelse av brand och säkerhet vid användning. Inspiration och lärdom togs genom en litteraturstudie angående skolbyggnader och dess lokaler. I programskedet genomfördes en förstudie om byggnadens förutsättningar samt brukarnas önskemål och krav. Utifrån denna information redovisas resultatet bland annat i form av flödesscheman och lokalprogram. I nästa skede i processen, projekteringen, redovisas det tänkta förslaget i form av handgjorda skisser och ritningar i AutoCAD. För att de olika verksamheterna i byggnaden skulle få plats krävdes en utbyggnad och den placerades på västra sidan av hus F, för att skapa en tryggare skolgård för de yngre eleverna. Även entréerna byggdes ut både för att tydligare visa vart de är belägna och ge ett mer inbjudande intryck. För att kunna uppnå målet om att skapa trivsamma och funktionella lokaler, utformades planlösningen med större öppenhet och fler gemensamma ytor såsom grupprum och samlingspunkter för eleverna
