The purpose of this project description is to give an overview of an elementary rural teacher training program which has successfully functioned over the past fourteeri years'inproviding a rural student teaching experience for over 250 prospective teachers. Of particular interest are the program areas which deal with the live-in experience, financial structure, reciprocal benefits and school district-university cooperation in teacher preparation
