PELAKSANAAN PENGUATAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM SISTEM FULL DAY SCHOOL DI SD MUHAMMADIYAH 04 MALANG

Education needs to develop three aspects, namely cognitive aspects, affective aspects, and psychomotor aspects. With the application of these three aspects, a human will be expected by the nation. In accordance with the objectives of national education, which is to make people who have good morals. This study aims to describe : (1) Strengthening character education in full day school system at Muhammadiyah Elementary School 4 Malang, (2) Supporting factors for strengthening character education in the full day school system at Muhammadiyah Elementary School 4 Malang, (3) Inhibiting factors in the implementation of strengthening character education in the full day school system at Muhammadiyah Elementary School 4 Malang. This research uses descriptive type qualitative research. The process of collecting data uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data sources are school principals, homeroom teachers, subject teachers, and VB grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 4 Malang. This research was conducted from July to August 2018. The data analysis process includes; the stages of collecting, analyzing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. Research results that : (1) Strengthening character education in the full day school system includes three main components:(a) pendidikan karakter melalui kegiatan pembelajaran terdiri dari integrasi nilai karakter, manajemen kelas, metode pembelajaran, literasi;(b) character education through the culture of school culture is done through arranging schedules, school traditions, extracurricular, kokurikuler, and; (c) character education through the community which involves religious communities, artists, and parents of students; (2) Supporting factors for strengthening character education in the full day school system are parental involvement, and facilities and infrastructure such as places of worship, libraries, school programs such as recitation, parenting programs, and extracurricular activities. (3) The inhibiting factor in the implementation of strengthening character education in the full day school system is the lack of parental support for school programs, the unfavorable influence of the community environment, and differences in individual backgrounds in schools
