Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi dan partisipasi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan wisata hiu paus (Rhincodon typus) di Desa Botubarani Kecamatan Kabila Bone Provinsi Gorontalo. Selanjutnya analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukan bahwa pengelolaan wisata hiu paus merupakan pengelolaan Co-management yang merupakan pengelolaan kolaboratif antara pihak pemerintah dan juga masyarakat. Persepsi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan wisata hiu paus berada pada kriteria Baik dengan skor rata-rata yang diperoleh sebesar 321 ( 64%), untuk partisipasi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan wisata hiu paus berada pada kriteria cukup baik dengan skor rata-rata diperoleh sebesar 251 ( 50%). ...
