From the South San Joaquin Valley, the 2.4 million acre-feet of additional water would be pumped over the Tehachapi Mountains and conveyed 80-miles into the Antelope Valley in Southern California through the greatly-enlarged California Aqueduct facilities. From the Antelope Valley, one-half of this additional water would be delivered a distance of 60-miles to Perris Reservoir on the East Branch of the California Aqueduct, presumably to replace the entire 1.2 million acre-feet per year flow of MWD's Colorado River Aqueduct.
