Ticaboo Ranch (Ticaboo); on Ticaboo Creek about one mile from Colorado River, topographic map Hunt et al 1953; home of Cass Hite who moved here from the earlier location at Hite (site 73); site is close to his placer mine at Ticaboo Bar No. 2, or the Bank of Ticaboo (site no. 63); Hite died in 1914 and is buried here; stone chimney remains of the Hite cabin. Loper Cabin; mile 150.1 River Map Sheet J left bank, topographic map Hunt et al. 1953; log cabin occupied by Bert Loper, 1908-1917, called by him the "Hermitage", and has been used since; well constructed one room log cabin, older cabin of stone, remains of fencing, farming equipment, small reservoir, irrigated land; airstrip used in 1940's together with modern trailer cabin; stainless steel plaque placed on rock 100 yards east of log cabin in commemoration of Loper by the Boy Scouts in 1949.
