E. Summary In view of the limited water resources within the Lower Colorado River Basin, the critical shortages in many sections, and the mounting demands for water, it is imperative that all interested Federal agencies direct their efforts toward obtaining the maximum development and efficient utilization of all possible water resources. Research in all facets of this problem must be greatly accelerated and expanded in scope. It will be necessary that close cooperation exist between Federal, state and county agencies, and private interests. The Bureau of Land Management administers a high percentage of the land area.
