In addition to the dialogue with which the organism leads the outer world with the senses, during the drawing process there is an unarticulated pre-language link to the stimuli that comes from the "not visible" inner sensing body. The research question I have chosen to work with in the article is: How to raise awareness about the pre-language dimension of the physical presence in drawing? This is investigated in dialogue with Merleau-Ponty's thinking about body phenomenology, Derrida's view of the cartoonist as blind, psychologist Stern's thinking about vitality affects.
