El manuscrito del padre franciscano Mateo Botija sobre un obispo de Begastri

This work publishes, for the first time, a manuscript related to the history of the Visigothic city of Begastri. It was written by a Franciscan, Father Mateo Botija, around 1627, in which the discovery of an inscription very relevant to the history of this city and its episcopal see is exposed. In addition, its reception by later historians and its relationship with the various identifications of the ancient city of Begastri are also exhibited.En este trabajo se publica, por primera vez, un manuscrito relacionado con la historia de la ciudad visigoda de Begastri. Se trata de un escrito realizado por un franciscano, el padre Mateo Botija, hacia 1627, en el que se expone el hallazgo de una inscripción muy relevante para la historia de esta ciudad y su sede episcopal. Además, también se expone su recepción por historiadores posteriores y su relación con las diversas identificaciones de la antigua ciudad de Begastri
