This correlational descriptive study aimed to validate the predictive model of risk of developing eating behavior disorder in young people based on the measurement of variables such as eating behavior, body image dissatisfaction, body mass index, family functioning, and the use of criticism toward young people about their weight and the shape of their body, in young people and parents. The non-randomized sample of convenience included 208 participants, 104 of them were adolescents aged between 11 and 18 years, studying in different high schools, and 104 family members considered to be significant by the teenagers.
