Martinez, June 21/01My dear Merriam,Your letter set us all dancing and hand-clapping. Bring Miss Rathbun - we will all be glad to see her. The more the merrier and Merriamer. Counting the garret - a grand campground, we have room for the whole Biological Survey. We will be ready to start with you. Shall I engage a wagon to haul us to the Tuolumne meadows from Crockers?
