La torre de babel de la teoría política y los problemas de enseñabilidad propios de tal situación

The purpose of this text is to justify the teaching and learning of Politics in a civilian perspective of the Political Science studies in the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. It starts from a biblical myth to recognize the difficulty of any academy to establish a perfect educational curriculum because of the existence of multiple languages, methods, lexicons, and objectives of what Political Science means. It focuses its attention on the dichotomy, the identity and difference, in order to understand the stressful story of the existing political relation approaches. The previous context provides the perspective of three of the cultural determinations that cuts through the teaching of politics, namely: the cultural perspective, the historicist perspective and the legalistic perspective typical to Western life. The paper comes to the idea that if the intellectual effort is directed this way, it might lead to an academic and social domain in which the political culture can help in understanding, giving sense, and offering civic alternatives to face the conflicts of Colombian reality.El texto tiene por objeto justificar la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de la política en perspectiva civilista de los estudios de Ciencia Política de la Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. Parte de un mito bíblico para reconocer lo difícil que resulta para cualquier academia el querer establecer un pensum de enseñanza perfecto dada la multiplicidad de lenguas, enfoques, métodos, léxicos y objetivos de lo que se entiende por ciencia política. Centra la atención en la dicotomía, identidad y diferencia, para así comprender la historia tensionante de los enfoques que, sobre las relaciones políticas, se han ofrecido. En el contexto anterior, se presenta la perspectiva de tres determinaciones culturales que atraviesan la enseñanza de la política, a saber: la perspectiva cultural, la perspectiva historicista y la perspectiva legalista propia de la vida de Occidente. El texto desemboca en que el esfuerzo intelectual así dirigido podrá conducir a un dominio académico y social donde la cultura política pueda ayudar a comprender, a dar sentido y a ofrecer alternativas civilistas para enfrentar los conflictos propios de la realidad colombiana
