College Snack Bar, McArthur Gymnasium Basement, Westbrook Junior College, 1940s

From a 1940s Admissions photograph folder of campus views, this sepia toned print shows The College Snack-Bar, set up in the McArthur Gymnasium basement during the summer of 1937. Known as the caf, it had its own entrance and was adjacent a space called a smoker by students and a rec room by the president. The print is labeled on the front, lower left corner, with The College Snack-Bar.
