This final chapter draws together the strands of the book in a practical way, with a special focus on the clinical application of musical phenomena in the therapy room. While all music therapists utilise music in their work, not all write in detail about the musical interventions they use. The authors whose voices are heard throughout this book have spoken from a central position of a focus on the music in music therapy. With a psychodynamic stance integrated with observation of musical phenomena, the interventions of these individual therapists now offer us the chance to make an overview of the different approaches. Before we present this information, we pause with a consideration of therapeutic interventions generally.status: accepte
