Vietnamese in Warsaw - the market on the Stadion Dziesięciolecia

The dissertation is on the issues of the Vietnamese immigrants living in Warsaw and earning their living at Stadion Dziesięciolecia in the years 1990-2010. The subject matter of the thesis is the general Vietnamese emigration with the consideration of the various aims of their arrival and the legal issue connected with the legalization of their stay and taking up employment.The main purpose of the diploma project is to present both the extent to which Stadion X-lecia was related to the influx and functioning of Vietnamese in the capital of Poland in the 90s and after the year 2000, and also the influence they had on the development of the largest market in Warsaw among many other nations. Particular attention is attached to the attitude of different nations, including the Polish one, towards the Vietnamese minority and the prospects of their further functioning in the Polish labour market after the closure of Stadion Dziesięciolecia.Praca poświęcona jest problematyce imigrantów wietnamskich przebywających w Warszawie i utrzymujących się z pracy na Stadionie X-lecia w latach 1990-2010. Poruszona została problematyka ogólnej emigracji wietnamskiej do Polski, z uwzględnieniem różnorodnego celu ich przyjazdu, oraz kwestia prawna, związana z legalizacją pobytu i podjęciem pracy zarobkowej. Głównym aspektem jest wykazanie w jakiej mierze Stadion X-lecia powiązany był z pojawiania się i funkcjonowania Wietnamczyków w stolicy w latach 90. i po 2000 roku a także jak oni sami wpłynęli na rozwój największego targowiska w Warszawie, pośród wielu innych narodowości. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono stosunkom innych narodowości, w tym polskiej do mniejszości Wietnamskiej, oraz perspektywy dalszego ich funkcjonowania na polskim rynku pracy po zamknięciu Stadionu
