Im etablierten Forschungsfeld des Renderings stellen die Ansprüche an Geschwindigkeit und Korrektheit noch immer Herausforderungen. Abhängig von Materialien und anderen Szeneneigenschaften sind die Ergebnisse moderner Monte Carlo Simulationsverfahren verrauscht oder gar nicht in der Lage bestimmte Lichteffekte zu reproduzieren. Daher hängen sowohl die Korrektheit als auch die Geschwindigkeit von der Verbesserung der Sampling- Algorithmen ab. In dieser Dissertation schlage ich mehrere Modifikationen vor, welche die Zuverlässigkeit solcher Simulationsmethoden in schwierigen Situationen erhöhen.
