Yapı malzemelerindeki radyolojik içeriğin bilinmesi nüfusun radyasyona maruz kalma oranının belirlenmesi açısından oldukça önemlidir. Bu nedenle, bu yüksek lisans tez çalışmasında yapı malzemelerinin en önemlilerinden birisi olan çimentolarda doğal radyonüklit (226Ra, 232Th ve 40K) aktivite konsantrasyonlarının belirlenmesi ve radyolojik risk parametrelerinin hesaplanması üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışmada kullanılan çimento örnekleri Türkiye' nin değişik bölgelerindeki üretici firma ve fabrikalardan temin edilmiştir. Çimentoların analizi 3"x3" NaI(Tl) gama spektrometre sistemi yardımı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir.
