AN ANALYSIS ON TOURIST OBJECT POTENTIAL IN BATURRADEN OF BANYUMAS REGENCY IN 2014 (SUPPLEMENT TO GEOGRAPHIC SUBJECT MATERIAL FOR THE 11TH GRADE IN BASIC COMPETENCY OF EXPLAINING THE UTILIZATION OF NATURAL RESOURCE WISELY) Thesis, Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty.Sebelas Maret University. June 2015. The objectives of research were (1) to find out the distribution of tourist object in Baturraden Sub District and (2) to give direction about the appropriate development of tourist object in Baturraden Sub District. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with tourist object as analysis unit. The process of identifying tourist object was carried out using data of tourist object existing in Baturraden Sub District. The data collection was conducted through observation, documentation and interview. The classification analysis on the tourist potential level existing in Baturraden Sub District was obtained from scoring analysis of each tourist potential variable, so that the scores of each tourist object were obtained and then classification into potential level by interval class obtained. The attempt of tourist object development was taken using description and SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat) analysis to get the optimum result viewed from the tourism potential existing. The result of research showed that: (1) the potential the tourist objects existing in Baturraden Sub District had, considering the assessment of scoring analysis result, belonged to very potential category at regional level for Baturraden tourist object and to potential enough at local level for Pancuran Tiga, Pancuran Tujuh, Curug Bayan, Wanawisata and Baturraden Adventure Forest, and to less potential category at local level for Curug Gede tourist object. (2) The direction of tourist object development in Baturraden was that there were three type of tourist object: family tourist object, special interest (health) tourist object, and natural adventure tourist object.
