EVALUASI PENGGUNAAN ANTIBIOTIK PADA PASIEN DIARE ANAK DI INSTALASI RAWAT INAP RSUD Dr. MOEWARDI TAHUN 2014

Diarrhea happens when the frequency of defecation is increased. Bacterial infections are generally appeared after. Antibiotic is one of medicine to treat diarrhea caused bacterial infections. Based on this phenomenon, this research was conducted to investigate evaluation of the use antibiotic on diarrhea children inpatient on RSUD Dr. Moewardi in the year of 2014. This research implemented descriptive non-experimental study. The data were taken retrospectively from the diarrhea children’s medical records at the age of 0 to 12 years old without comorbidities treated with antibiotics. After that, the data gathered were analyzed by Microsoft Excel 2007 and presented in the form of table. World Gastroenterology Organisation Global Guidelines: Acute diarrhea and children a global perpective 2012, The New England Journal of Medicine: Clinical Practice Acute Infectious Diarrhea 2009 dan WHO: The Treatment of Diarrhea A Manual for physicians and Other Senior Health Worker 2005 were used to measure the compatibility of the evaluation of the use of antibiotics. The findings revealed that there were 10 patients met the inclusion criteria. The analysis of the evaluation of antibiotics on diarrhea children inpatient on RSUD Dr. Moewardi in the year of 2014 were: the correct indication 10 cases, correct medicine 9 cases and correct dosage 7 cases.
