KONFLIK DAN KEPRIBADIAN TOKOH DALAM NOVEL ASMARANI KARYA SUPARTO BRATA (TINJAUAN PSIKOLOGI SASTRA)

The cases in this research are how is the structural analysis of the Asmaraninovel by Suparto Brata based on Robert Stanton’s theory, how is the personality and the facts which affect the characteristic each character on the Asmaraninovel by Suparto Brata, and how is the conflict on the Asmaraninovel by SupartoBrata. The aims of this research are describing the structure of Asmaraniby Suparta Brata based on Robert Stanton’s theory, describing the characters and the elements which have influence on the characters of Asmaraniby Suparta Brata, and describing the conflict on the Asmaraninovel by Suparta Brata. Theory from this research use the meaning of novelby Burhan Nurgiyo, the structural theory by Robert Stanton, and psychology of knight by Sigmund Freud, the factor about psychology by Syamsu Yusuf and Juntika Nurihsan, and theory about conflict by Burhan Nurgiyanto. This research has descriptive qualitative disposition. The data are the extrinsic and intrinsic elements from the Asmaraninovel by Suparta Brata such as characters, plot, setting, theme, title, point of view, tone, symbolism and irony. Besides, the psychology element such as the conflict and the character’s habit in the Asmarani novel also belong to the data. The method of collecting data use the structural analysis method based on Robert Stanton’s theory and the psychological approach. The data analysis in this research aredata reduction, data presentation and withdrawal of conclusion. The conclusions of this research are (a) from the structural analysis there are connection of each elements of the facts of the story such as the characters, settings, plot, theme: symbolism, point of view, tones and irony, they are arranged either. (b) from the psychological approach the Asmaraninovel says the personality consist sanguinis, melancholy, koleri, and plegmatics. Each elements have different characteristic. Its differences make characteristic of each characters, meanwhile the facts which affect are family, culture, and education environment, (c) the psychological aspect are the conflict. The kinds of conflicts are external conflict (self conflict) and internal conflict. Key word: Asmarani,Personality, Psikologi Sastr
